Meet The Team

We are one team based at three locations in Hampshire, Essex and Kent. We hope that these profiles will give you some insight into the people that support you and your IT systems. Our organisation is comprised of a Management team, Account Management team, Systems Engineering team, Accounting Software Support team, Software Development team and Administration team.


Tina Verney, Managing Director
Tina is at the helm of TMB Group and manages the business with a keen eye on quality and customer focus. Tina has over a decade’s experience in the accounting and technology industries and has driven solid sustainable growth throughout her time at TMB. Quality and detail are vital to Tina and these attributes have helped her to drive TMB’s success in delivering superb service and great value solutions to all of our customers.

Richard Shuker, Technical Director
A born technologist, Richard is never happier than when solving complex (or even simple!) technical problems. Richard leads the Service Team, who are equally fired up about technology and what it can do for us.
Richard remains ahead of the curve in technology terms. He has personally instilled a progressive ethos of knowledge sharing and professional development within the Service Team, who are all studying hard when not fixing your faults!


Tony Gillie, Account Manager
Tony is one of the original cast of the TMB Group story. His expertise in Networked IT solutions and especially Microsoft licensing is deep and constantly growing. Tony recently re-qualified as a Microsoft Licensing Solutions Specialist.
Tony has consultatively sold some very sustainable and value-adding solutions to small businesses as well as complex infrastructure to larger clients throughout the South East. Many of Tony’s customers have remained with TMB as a result of his great customer service ethic and principle of selling only thoroughly researched and considered solutions.

Tim Tarleton, Account Manager
Tim is a highly experienced Account Manager with a solid and longstanding technical background. Tim’s previous work as a Systems Engineer enables him to recommend the best technical solutions for our customers, and the most appropriate method and pace of deployment. Over 10 years of customer facing experience in IT makes Tim a great asset to his customers and his team.

Nigel Morris, Account Manager
Nigel has responsibility for moving our customers on to the latest technologies, using best in class solutions from the TMB portfolio. Nigel is a seasoned IT Professional with many years’ experience of selling and implementing a wide range of value-adding solutions to SME customers in the East of England.
Nigel’s experience of delivering consultancy to start-up organisations allows him to make credible and technically sound recommendations to our growing customer base.

Paul Woodhouse, Account Manager
Paul is a highly experienced software expert with over 2 decades of experience in the IT industry, his focus being the Pegasus suite of products. Prior to working in IT he worked for an accounting firm where he gained a strong understanding of the day to day concerns of finance managers.  This experience has given Paul the breadth of knowledge to offer his TMB Group customers the most appropriate solutions for their business needs.
Paul has built a reputation as a highly credible expert in accounting software amongst his customer base. His knowledge and problem solving ability make his advice highly sought after.

Alexa Mason, Sales Administrator
Alexa is our Sales Administrator. She maintains our customer records and ensures that orders are promptly processed and dispatched to all of our valued clients.
She has supported sales teams in a range of pressurised environments and always remains calm and customer focused at all times. Service is at the core of the culture that we have instilled in our staff at TMB Group and Alexa is a fantastic example of customer service in action.


Sue Hunt, Accounting Systems Support Consultant
Sue has been supporting customers with Accounting Software since 1999. She has a degree in Maths and Computing which led her to forge an early career as a software developer in the Local Government and Defence sector. Sue is expert in all uses of Pegasus, Excel and Visual Basic for applications with deep specialist knowledge in reporting applications. Sue was part of a team of experts who successfully secured TMB Group’s accreditation as a Pegasus Centre of Excellence in 2013. Again, this was achieved through dedicated study and commitment.
Sue is also Deputy Chair of the Selsey Lifeboat Fundraising Committee.

Gerry Bassingthwaighte, Accounting Systems Support Consultant
Gerry has been developing engineering and IT solutions since 1973, working for some major players including the BBC, Nortel Networks, Plessey and GE Capital.  Gerry works in the Accounting Systems Team at TMB Group’s Colchester office. Gerry was part of the original team of accounting software experts who successfully secured TMB’s accreditation as a Pegasus Centre of Excellence earlier in 2013. This was achieved through diligent study and commitment across the whole Accounting Systems team. Gerry is a Chartered Engineer and a Member of the Institution of Engineering and Technology.

Felix Tsang, Accounting Systems Support Consultant
Felix supports TMB Group customers who use Pegasus software, he has delivered great support to some key customers during his time at TMB. Felix’s background in mathematics and accounting makes him ideally suited to supporting accounting software. Felix’s experience as a tutor at the University of Essex and for another local technology company has developed strong communication skills and a knack for making complex IT problems simple for our customers.

Patrick Abbott, Accounting Systems Support Consultant
Patrick is an accomplished Accounting Software expert. Prior to joining TMB he worked with a range of finance companies where he was able to hone his specialism in Pegasus software as a user. This experience and a raft of Pegasus qualifications enable Patrick to offer excellent guidance and technical support to TMB group’s Pegasus customer base.
Patrick is a dedicated technologist with a keen eye on emerging IT trends.

Nicolene Dixon, Accounting Software Support Consultant
Nicolene possesses excellent accounting and finance skills. Nicolene’s past experience within finance puts her in a great position to offer qualified guidance and support to our Pegasus customer base. Nicolene is AAT qualified and has previously held finance roles at BDML and various contract positions including working for Thomas Cook based in Switzerland. Nicolene has lots of experience using Pegasus software throughout her working life which combined with her fantastic ability for problem determination makes her a key member within TMB’s Accounting Software team.


James Phillips, Systems Engineer
James is a very experienced Systems Engineer, with a vast knowledge of IT and networking technologies. His expertise comes from extensive training in all major elements of IT hardware, software and network technologies. He has worked in the IT industry for over a decade as an engineer and technical lead. James is also able to make use of his accreditations as an Apple Certified Support Professional and Apple Certified Technical Co-ordinator to support our growing number of Apple-users. James consistently performs as a dynamic project manager and problem-solver.

Daniel Scott, Team Leader & Senior Systems Engineer
Daniel is the team leader of the Colchester Networking Support team, overseeing the support for all the Networking Department. Daniel is a driven person who strives to make sure that he and his team are able to offer the technical expertise for the Essex TMB Group customers. This is through, but not limited to, extensively studying in the latest Microsoft technologies and obtaining numerous Microsoft qualifications.

Matt Fuller, Team Leader – Network Infrastructure
With over 15 years’ experience of IT Support, Matt has worked in most working environments including small and medium sized IT Support Companies, Public & Private sectors including schools and NHS, and provided internal and external IT Support within most of these environments. With a proven track record of managing Desktop & Server engineer teams in the past, Matt brings his enthusiasm for self-set goals, meeting customer requirements & expectations, and bringing a feel good factor to a team that can meet its targets. With experience in team leading, account management, purchasing, and desktop & server support covering a vast array of technologies and solutions, Matt is an integral part of the Service Delivery of TMB. Outside of work Matt’s interests are his family, DIY, football, computing, music collection and getting out & about along the Hampshire coastline.

Chris Gundry, Senior Systems Engineer 
Chris is an enthusiastic Microsoft Certified engineer who has worked in the IT sector for the last 8 years. Chris has worked on everything from small networks to ones with many thousands of users as well as several VIP accounts along the way as well. Specialising in server side support, particularly VMware, Hyper-V and MS Exchange. In his spare time Chris is a fan of stand-up comedy, movies, keeping fit and even a bit of photography when possible.

Mark Taylor, 2nd-3rd Line Helpdesk Support Technician
Mark has over six years’ experience in the technical support and helpdesk environment as a Microsoft Certified Professional supporting Small Business Server 2003/2008/2011, Exchange Server 2003/2007/2010, Server 2003/2011 Active Directory along with exposure to Mac O/S setup/windows integration and has also benefitted from living and working in several counties world-wide.

His engineering background, hardworking ethic and tenacious attitude towards problem solving make him an ideal addition to the Network Infrastructure team in Havant.

Outside work Mark enjoys Krav Maga (Israeli Fighting Technique) and as a former DJ, has a keen interest in music but the majority of his quality time is spent with his wife and two children.

David Fisher, Systems Engineer
David is a highly skilled Systems Engineer with over 20 years of experience in the IT industry.  He is fully trained in computer networking technologies, his specialism is the Microsoft portfolio, a product set that he has been supporting since 1996.
David has experience of pre-sales support and implementation of systems as well as post-sales support. He is an accomplished IT all-rounder and well regarded by customers as a “very safe pair of hands”.

James McGinty, Systems Engineer
James is a highly skilled Systems Engineer and accomplished public speaker. Prior to joining TMB Group in 2009 James managed a team of engineers that served over 100 clients throughout the UK and Europe. James is a strong all-rounder with technology, his focus is on Microsoft applications, this is consolidated by his Advanced Diploma in Computer Applications, training qualifications and Technology Degree from the Open University. James is a great asset to TMB Group and a great support to our customers.

Kenny Eells, Systems Engineer
Kenny is a keen follower of trends in computing and new technology. He is able to put this interest to great use in his role. Kenny’s in-depth knowledge of Microsoft products and Network technologies, make him a huge asset to the team. Kenny has been supporting small businesses in the South East with their IT and Communications needs for the last seven years.

Robbie Young, Helpdesk Support Technician Apprentice
Robbie is enthusiastic about technology and how it can change and improve the way that we work and play. He has valauble experience as a Cisco accredited IT Support Engineer. Robbie’s interest in technology spills over into his spare time. He is an accomplished computer builder and programmer. When not working in front of a screen Robbie is a keen Mountain-Biker and BMX-Rider.


Ashley Welch, Team Leader, Software Development & Accounting Software 
Ashley brings a huge amount of knowledge and vision to the development of TMB group’s portfolio. He has completed an IT degree in which he gained a first class honours.  Prior to joining TMB Group in 2007 he worked for HMV as a Systems Support Specialist where he led the development of a number of nationwide projects which became key parts of the HMV in-store experience.  Ashley was part of the team who successfully secured TMB’s accreditation as a Pegasus Centre of Excellence in 2013.  He is highly skilled in Visual FoxPro and Java amongst many other programming languages.

Philip Hoyle, Software Developer
Philip has a solid development and programming background gained through diligent technical study and holding key roles in LLP and GEC prior to joining TMB in 1999. He has managed Helpdesk Teams and delivered excellent levels of customer service under constant pressure. Philip’s technical skills are constantly evolving and he has proven himself to be a key contributor to TMB’s expanding capability across a range of technologies. He began programming professionally in COBOL but came to FoxPro and more recently VFP via VB and is familiar with the .NET framework in both C# and VB.


Jan Rich, Service Delivery Co-ordinator
Jan is a key player in delivering service to our customers. She is a highly skilled organiser and administrator and makes a strong contribution to the high levels of customer satisfaction that we are happy to report every month. Before joining TMB in 1997 Jan had held a number of high level PA roles where her organisational skill and ability to project manage kept busy executives on track.

Ann Milne, Accountant
Ann manages the accounts at TMB Group. She has worked in various successful finance roles for over 20 years. Ann’s rigorous approach and attention to detail ensure that our financial plans remain on track and within budget. Ann uses Pegasus Opera 3 Accounting Software to manage TMB’s finances.

Kelly Cowlishaw, General Administrator
Kelly provides Admin Support, especially Credit Control, across the TMB Group. She has significant experience working in the IT Industry in Credit and Finance-related roles.  Kelly is the charming front of house on the TMB Group phone system, and has built a great rapport with our customers, which is a great help in managing credit! Kelly is a committed professional in her field and is working to formalise her skills by studying for her AAT exams in her spare time.
